The Forest Stewardship Council (abbreviated as FSC) is a stamp of approval from this non profit international organisation that basically ensures that the world’s wood supply and consumption is checked and guarantees a chain of custody from the forest through exporting, production and selling to the buyers. An FSC certified product means that the wood used for its production was supplied by timber mills that care deeply for the environment and forested regions were replanted. This replanting process helps in preserving the environment and forests and does not affect the timber supplies.
