Guarantee of Quality from Walton's Web Trading Limited

ISO 9001 - 2000 is a family of standards for Quality Management Systems. ISO 9001 is maintained by ISO, the International Organisation for Standardisation and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies. In the case of Walton's Web Trading's supplier, the certification body is Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), some of the requirements in ISO 9001 (which is one of the standards in the ISO 9000 family) include

  • A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business.
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
  • Keeping adequate records;
  • Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary;
  • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness.
  • Facilitating continual improvement
  • Remaining Customer Focused

A company or organization that has been independently audited and certified to be in conformance with ISO 9001 may publicly state that it is "ISO 9001 certified" or "ISO 9001 registered" on its documentation such as invoices etc.

There are many different ISO standards such as the Automobile Standard, etc and all apply rigorous procedures and are monitored by the relevant external auditors such as LRQA to verify what they do, in simple terms our product or service must do “What it says on the Tin”.

Certification to an ISO 9000 standard does not guarantee any quality of end products and services; rather, it certifies that formalised business processes are being applied. That said customers may find a huge benefit in the fact the organisation is registered, indicates that a high level of quality may be expected, than from a company that is not.

The manufacturer of the wooden sheds, summer houses, playhouses and workshops sold by Walton's Web Trading Limited is certified to ISO 9000 Standards, and do many internal quality checks on all products, including randomly selecting a building off the production lines and building it. This identifies any fault immediately before the product has even left the factory! Our ex-factory quality figure for 2009 is currently standing at 97.5% with 98% being world class.
